Emergency Procedures

These guides are intended as a quick reference containing general and basic information on what to do in the event of an emergency. It is not intended to be a comprehensive crisis management plan.  The plan’s success centers on those involved with an incident acting in a calm manner and exercising common sense.

Always remember:
1) Never take risks that may endanger yourself or others.
2) If you are in doubt about a situation, always call 9-911 from campus phones.

In the event of an emergency when police, fire or ambulance services are needed, from a campus phone call 9-911 and be prepared to meet the lead emergency vehicle at a safe area near the building involved. For all other incidents, call the Campus Assistance Center at extension 4444. Desk personnel will act as the communications center for each emergency, assessing the situation and directing information to the proper channels such as: security, health and safety, maintenance, campus nurse, 911 personnel and others.
