Management Tenure-Track Position
Edgewood College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Management for the School of Business.

Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will teach courses in undergraduate and graduate Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, and/or Organizational Design; mentor students; engage in research; develop assessment strategy; work on internal and external committees to serve the school, the college, and the larger community.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of potential for teaching excellence, a Doctorate degree, have a commitment to diversity, ethical leadership and a global perspective and experience in the application of business principles.

Psychology Tenure-Track Position
Edgewood College is accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the Psychology Department to begin in August, 2010.  Applications should be received by January 20, 2010.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with undergraduate students. Courses to be taught may include General Psychology, Research Methods, Abnormal Psychology, Personality, Evaluating Psychological Research, and other undergraduate psychology courses. Duties will include teaching, academic advising and may include supervising student internships and directing student research. 

Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or closely related field, teaching experience, and a strong background in research, including an active research program. A background in Substance Abuse is desirable but not required.

Business Part-Time Instructors
Edgewood College has immediate opportunities for instructors to teach in its new Urban and Rural Economic Development program in the Spring of ‘10. 
The positions report to the Dean of the School of Business. Applications will be reviewed immediately.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses. BUS 633: Creating Sustainable Businesses in Urban and Rural Communities; BUS 634: Effective Change Agent Strategies for Economic Development. BUS 633 is taught on Mondays from 6:00-9:00pm while BUS 634 is taught on Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00pm at our Deming Way campus. Qualifications: MBA or PHD preferred. Applicant must have experience and knowledge in launching economic development initiatives in urban and/or rural communities. Additionally, applicant must know subject experts that can be invited to class to discuss economic development topics like social entrepreneurship, leadership, sustainability, market planning and other related topics. Teaching experience is preferred. Candidates with only a bachelor’s degree but strong experience in economic development will be considered as subject experts for guest appearances in class.

Biotechnology Instructor  
Edgewood College invites applications for an instructor to teach our 200-level Biotechnology course in Spring 2010.

Responsibilities: Teach a 2-credit lecture course that meets at 4 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Qualifications:  Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (PhD is preferred) in biology or related field. Recent or ongoing experience with biotech methods and applications is desired.

Edgewood College invites applications for an instructor to teach a 400-level Cell and Molecular Biology course in Spring 2010.

Responsibilities: Teach a 4-credit mixed lecture and lab course that meets 3 times per week for 2 hours.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (PhD is preferred) in biology or a related field. Recent or ongoing experience teaching laboratory courses will be considered an asset.

Assistant Professor of Marketing

School of Business at Edgewood College invites applications for an open rank tenure/non-tenure track faculty position in Marketing. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of marketing courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and show leadership in developing and strengthening the marketing area. We are particularly interested in those that can teach promotion and advertising, fundamentals of marketing, and marketing research.  Edgewood College and the School of Business place a high value on teaching, scholarship and service.

Current Staff Openings  

Security Officer - Part-time
This position will not have set hours; however will have the opportunity to sign up for hours prior to the posting of the monthly schedule and will fill in during vacations and sick calls on an as needed basis. Security officers are not armed and do not carry weapons.  Officers are required to patrol in and around the college campus buildings including resident halls.

Responsibilities:  This position is responsible for the security and safety of the Edgewood College Campus.  The Campus covers approximately 2200 students, 550 of which live on-campus and consists of 13 facilities on the main campus.  You will be required to make routine security patrols to lock buildings and in some instances unlock buildings/offices.  In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring, responding to and reporting of incidents involving the Edgewood College Community.  This position will have to respond to situations including emergency incidents and determine the appropriate response i.e. fire, rescue squad, Madison PD.  

Qualifications:  You must be able to walk for periods of time, climb stairs, as well as operate a motor vehicle.  Maturity is a must as well as the ability to work flexible hours.  An ideal candidate would have some law enforcement experience. The position requires the ability to work and fill in first, second and third shift hours any day of the week.  Candidates must be honest, reliable, good communicators, have the ability to think critically, enjoy working with college age students and have the ability to work independently with little onsite supervision.

Assistant Track Coach
Edgewood College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Part-Time Assistant Track & Field Coach.  This position reports to the Head Track & Field Coach.
 

Responsibilities:  The candidate will be responsible for organizing practices including, designing and monitoring both strength/conditioning and track workouts.  There will also be additional responsibilities as assigned by the head coach which may include recruiting, organizing transportation, and other administrative duties. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and/or CSCS certified. Must have experience either coaching on the high school or college level and/or participation as an intercollegiate athlete.  Experience with sprints and jumps highly desirable.
